Tuesday, May 25th, was a great day starting later in the day because I had completed most of my work. This was an emotional day because it was my last workday in high school. I put the finishing touch on my senior project mainly the highlight tapes. After that, I got started on my presentation. Putting the tapes on my computer was a challenge but after I figured it out it was easy. Next, was to do my paper. Writing a thousand words was long but I finished it after some reflection. Overall, I enjoyed all the perks of senior projects and I'm ready to graduate. I worked for three hours totalling 58 hours.
When reflecting on my week of the senior project I was proud of what I had accomplished. There were a lot of long days but it was worth it in the end. I learned this week to make sure to have iMovie updated. I also learned how to add music to a highlight tape which was awesome. Personally, I wasn't a fan of what I was doing because a lot of it was busy work so it sucked sometimes. Although it felt awesome to present the highlight tape to Trey because he was so happy. It also felt good to know I was helping him out in the end.           During the week I got a lot of surprises because I thought I was a lot better with hudl and iMovie than I was. Adding music took me forever to learn to do and I sucked at focusing at times. Some surprises were how much work went into cutting clips and how tedious it can be at times. I benefitted from this week's activities by allowing for Trey's highlight tape to get done and for work to be easier for next week. Also, having Rachel was a
Monday, May 24th began on an early morning after a late night so I was very tired. I got a coffee from Jakes and began editing clips focusing on finishing my highlight tape. I talked to Ally to get her height and weight so that it was correct on the title slide. I cut clips in the morning. I then went and ate a yummy lunch. I then finished putting together the highlight tape. It looked better than expected and I was satisfied. I worked for pretty much the whole day hours today totaling 7 hours because I wanted to get it finished so that I could write my paper tomorrow. Total 55 hours.
Friday, May 21, started off with an early morning of 9'o Clock. Next, I showered and got my hair fabulous for the day. Rachel and I met in the training room and went right to work. We focused on directing the last of our games making sure we had all the times written down. Next, we set up the hudl and focused on getting everything ready. Then we headed to Dunks so I could get a gas coffee to fuel myself. Like most machines, I need fuel. I worked for 6 hours today which totals 48 hours.
Thursday, May 20th, was another amazing day in the office. Although with how the weather was I wish I was outside the office. We got right to work with sifting through more games. I woke up at 9:00 today so I was pretty tired. We stopped for a coffee break from Jakes's. Enjoying the nice weather, we reflected on the project overall. Once, we got back we realized that we in a perfect striking position to finish on time. I began to worry about the final paper but Rachel kept me grounded. I left for the day hungry for more work because of how much fun I was having. I worked for 6 hours today totaling 42 hours.
Wednesday, May 19th, I was able to wake up early and get my day started with dunks. I then put the finishing touches on Trey's Highlight tape according to his guidance. It was a beautiful day today so I was able to work outside today. Rachel and I discussed with Allie what she wanted from the tape as we were closing in on finishing the tapes. Then we watched one of the games which took us longer than usual cause Allie played great. We worked for 5 hours today which totals 36 hours.

Tuesday May 18th, again another day on the grind. Rachel was still gone today so I was able to wake up later around 8:30. Then I communicated with Trey so that we could put the final touches on his tape. He reviewed some clips that I put together and let me know which one to put in. Then we broke for lunch and ate some yummy food. I finished his title slide. We then put a song over the tape but decided to go with no music. I worked for 6 hours today which totals 31 hours.

Monday, May 17th, Rachel was not here today, so I had to work independently. I started my day around 10:30 and got right to work. This day was extremely productive as I began to finish the highlight tape. I reviewed the clips and began to put them in order. I also watched another one of Allie's games. This whole day was rather productive. I worked for 4 hours today which totals 25 hours.

Week 1 Reflections

This week was a great start to my senior project campaign. It began with me trying to figure out how the whole process was going to work. I learned this week how to work hudl. I also learned from Rachael's expertise what makes a good highlight tape. I then learned how to cut clips and insert them into highlight tapes.  Personally, what I was doing was something that interested me. Some aspects such as watching the games and having to stop are a pain. Although cutting clips and putting them into iMovie is fun. This whole process is rewarding because it feels good to know you're helping an athlete out.       In the beginning, Rachel and I had different plans for the project, originally I thought I was only making one for Allie. Although, it was decided that I should do one for my good friend Trey too. This was a change of plans resulting in me having to change my schedule around, especially so that I could have Trey's highlight tape done in time.       I will benefit fr

Friday, May 14th started off with a great Dunkin coffee. Using this energy boost I got right to work and started focusing on making the tape. I started dissecting clips and putting them in proper order. When all of a sudden new athlete Trey told me he needed his highlight tape for early next week. So I sprung into action watching games and finding clips. I began adding clips and working with Mark to make it the best tape possible. I was able to accomplish a lot in the five hours I worked Friday. Total - 21 hours.

Thursday, May 13th, I began work around 9:30 with a good coffee from dunks. I started by watching a girls hockey game and looking for clips. I added numerous clips from the away game against Kimball Union. This then allowed me to keep stockpiling more clips. Then I talked to my prospective Athlete and we talked about her goals for the highlight tape. Then she gave me her height and weight for the info page. This wrapped up my day which was for four hours. Total hours - 16.
Wednesday, May 12th required me to wake up early around 9:00. I wish I had more of a sleep-in so that I could enjoy the senior project. As soon as we got to the training room we got to business. We started going through games and marking times of good clips that express good play. We got distracted at one point watching a boys game but then it was back to work. We then broke for lunch which was yummy. We capped off the afternoon with more hard work. I worked for four hours today (12 hours total).

Tuesday, May 11, I arrived at the training room in a fret because I couldn't find Rachel. We then met in the training room and talked about the plans for the project. I then suggested athletes who I could make one for. We landed on Allie Cimis and Trey Chickering. Allie plays hockey, and Treys plays baseball. Then we got working on finding games and getting them into hudl. We then started on finding clips and jotting down when they happened. We worked for four hours today (8 hours total).

Monday, May 10th, I worked on learning about highlight tapes. I learned the in and outs of hudl. I learned to look for what coaches want in players. I also contemplated prospective athletes who could need a recruitment video. I watched recruitment videos that showed various sports. I googled the rules in numerous sports such as softball to see what was actually going on. I then returned to campus with a new mindset and my sights set on making great highlight tapes. I worked for four hours today.
